Kate MacDonald

Kate and her husband Craig moved to the Sierra Foothills in 1998 to be ski instructors (ski bums). They fell in love with the area, and all it had to offer, and discovered a passion for the area’s wine potential. Kate started her winemaking career in the summer of 1999, and now farms her family’s Cabernet Sauvignon vineyard in Napa. She makes wine locally with Ayrael Vieux Winery, where she also produces her Boyle MacDonald Cabernet Sauvignon and Cock Au Vin red blend.
